Controlling effect of tectonic-paleogeomorphology on deposition in the south of Lufeng sag, Pearl River Mouth Basin

Paleogene depositional systems in the south of Lufeng sag have complex spatial distribution, which are in?uenced by pre-depositional paleogeomorphology and multi-period tectonic activities. In this paper, to clarify controlling effect tectonic-paleogeomorphology on sedimentary facies distribution effectively guide oil gas exploration, paleogeomorphic pattern is reconstructed impression method, temporal evolution laws main faults clari?ed. The results show that braided river deltas developed stably long-axis gentle slope belt lake basin, while short-axis system changed from fan response change active strength dominant strong weak. It found scale closely related activity fault, area catchment, vertical elevation difference. steep cliff controlled boundary fault with large throw section, there wedge-shaped sand bodies near cliff. multi-level fault-step zone provides driving force for advancement system, body extends a long distance. established supply capacity source accommodated space basin coupled control deposition scale.
